Why write a blog?

A while ago, I was talking with my wife, and I told her I was thinking about starting a blog. It may not have been her first question, but one of her first was “Who is going to read it?”. The honest answer is that I do not know. Perhaps nobody. But my goal with this is not to amass followers or even a single follower. This begins as a forum for me to process my thoughts on any, and all subjects that pique my interest.

Writing things helps me in that process and I thought that a blog format would help me to organize and be able to recall these ideas and thoughts. It may be that I will look back to some things with anxiety or rue, but I hope not.
